Green Beans with Shallot Dressing



Easy green bean recipes like this make dinner a breeze.

Fresh green beans are steamed and then drizzled with a light shallot-Dijon dressing.

Steaming is one of the most healthful ways to cook vegetables.

For this fresh green bean recipe you will need:

1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed

2 large shallots, finely chopped

2 tablespoons chicken broth

1 tablespoon red-wine vinegar

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Salt & freshly ground pepper to taste


How to steam green beans:

Place beans in a steamer basket over boiling water.

Cover and steam steam until tender.

To make the vinaigrette recipe:

In a serving bowl whisk together shallots, broth, vinegar and mustard.


Toss the steamed beans with the dressing.

Season green beans with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
