Barbeque Shrimp Recipe



Here’s a yummy barbeque shrimp recipe that’s a big hit at parties or even just an easy dinner idea.

Plus this tasty grilled shellfish recipe works just as well under the broiler if the weather is uncooperative!

Tip: To save time buy shrimp that are precooked and cleaned.

For this easy shrimp recipe you will need:

2 large garlic cloves

1 teaspoon coarse salt

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon paprika

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 teaspoons lemon juice

2 pounds jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined

Lemon wedges, for garnish


Preheat grill for medium heat

In a small mixing bowl, mash together the garlic and the salt

Add cayenne pepper and paprika

Stir in olive oil and lemon juice to form a paste

In a large bowl, toss shrimp with garlic paste until evenly coated


How to grill shrimp:

Lightly oil grill grate

Thread shrimp onto skewers, piercing once near the tail and once near the top

Cook shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until opaque

Transfer to a serving dish, garnish grilled shrimp with lemon wedges, and serve
