Chicken Thigh Recipe

This simple chicken thigh recipe uses hoisin sauce, a thick, sweet and spicy condiment made from soybeans, garlic, chile peppers and various spices.

Hoisin sauce is available in most major supermarkets. If you buy the canned variety make sure to transfer any leftover sauce to a non-reactive container and keep it tightly sealed and refrigerated. It can be used to flavor seafood, meat and poultry dishes.

For this chicken thighs recipe you will need:

¼ cup hoisin sauce

2 tablespoons water

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 garlic clove, minced

8 skinless chicken thighs

Preheat oven to 350 F

In a small bowl mix together hoisin sauce, water, soy sauce, ginger, garlic.

In a 9 x 13 inch baking dish, arrange the chicken thighs in a single layer.

Pour, or brush, the sauce over the chicken.

Bake uncovered, basting often, until the chicken feels springy (about 45 minutes).

This recipe for chicken thighs serves 4.
