Crab Dip



Crab dip is a classic at holiday time...

Spend a cozy evening sitting by the fire with family and friends sharing this tasty appetizer on a frosty winter night.

Serve this delicious dip with tortillas, crackers, pita, bagel chips or crisp fresh vegetables.


For this appetizer recipe you will need:

8 ounces cream cheese

1 cup sour cream

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 tablespoon grated onion

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 clove garlic, crushed

2 to 3 dashes hot pepper sauce (optional)

½ teaspoon dry mustard

Salt and pepper to taste

½ to 1 pound lump crabmeat, cartilage removed

½ cup grated old cheddar cheese.



Preheat oven to 350 F.

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.

Stir in sour cream, lemon juice, onion, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, hot sauce, mustard, salt and pepper.

Stir in the crab and cheese.

Spoon into a shallow baking dish or pie plate and bake for 20 to 30 minutes, until heated through and bubbly around the edges.

Serves 8.
